National Test Center of Polymer and Building Materials was set up by Ministry of Scien ceand Technology in 1984. Now it has been an authorized center for testing building materials and polymeric materials in China. It is situated in Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry (BRICI) and supported by BRICI, SINOPEC, Ministry of Science and Technology. Now it has become a well-known authoritative test organization in China.
Since its establishment, a series of certificates have been granted, including:
- Metrological Authentication Certificate, issued by China State Bureau of Quality and Technical Suppervision (CSBTS) .
- Certificate of Laboratory Accreditation, issued by China National Accreditation Committee for Laboratories (CNAL).
- Supervision and test center for the quality of the petrochemical industry products.
- Appointed test organization for the safe identification of gas and pressure pipes authorized by China State Bureau of Quality and Technical Suppervision (CSBTS) .
- Appointed test organization for 3C(China Compulsive Certificate) authorized by China goverment.
- Appointed test organization for granting production permit of waterproofing materials authorized by China State Bureau of Quality and Technical Suppervision (CSBTS) .
National Supervision and Test Center of Basic Organic Materials and our center have worked together to develop the tests for building materials which ate closely related to living environment and health as well as to develop the work of analysis for additives and organic materials.
Six laboratories are contained in this center:
- Laboratory for testing polymeric
- Laboratory for testing plastic pipes and fittings
- Laboratory for testing windows, door and profiles
- Laboratory for testing plastic sheets
- Laboratory for testing aging properties
- Laboratory for testing coatings and adhesives
During testing and evaluating, various standards such as GB (Chinese National Standard), ISO, ASTM, DIN, JIS, BS and other special standards can be followed to test. Varies products can test in this center, such as resins, plastic pipes, plastic profiles, plastic sheets, plastic composite products, plastic film, geomembrance, coating, adhersives, special plastic and engineering plastic for vehicles and cables etc.
The center is run by an experienced and well-trained
staff. An internal qualification system has been established according
to ISO 17025. Scheduled training is carried out every year. Data offered
is scientific, exact and authoritative.
